We’re lost.

I survey the surroundings from the hilltop. It’s impossible to try and see beyond this thick mist and grey landscape. I can’t remember the last time I saw something this depressing. We’ve wandered too far from camp. I wonder how the rest of Hogwart’s population fares.

You appear at my side and offer me half an apple. “Our rations are running low.”

I feel your other hand linger over the back of my neck with your fingertips barely brushing my hair.

I turn and shiver as your fingers stroke across my throat. “We need to find the others.”

This didn't turn out quite as well as I hoped. I think it may be that these drabbles are slowly giving birth to a plot...

Indeed.
It was well written, but just doesn't give the same effect as the others. It seems kind of incomplete to me...I know it's supposed to be short, but it's kind of awkward.
Just my opinion on the matter.

I have to agree with you there. This one didn't turn out the same way as I hoped. *sigh* I may just eliminate this one completely when I post this series. Don't think editing would do much for it at this point...

I do admit, I didn't like it as much as the others, but it's still worth keeping, just perhaps not in the context of this story-arc-thing.
