I'm under attack!

After talking with cheeky_duckie about Rebecca/Mokuba the other day, I've come under the attack of a plot bunny.

I guess it's basically expanding on their background as a couple in Joey, mainly Mokuba as a junior in college where he meets Rebecca when she's the TA for a course he's taking. This totally needs a lot more development before I could consider turning it into a fic...

Not to mention the other items on my fanfic writing plate:
- Finish Joey
- YGO/Skip Beat crossover in Joey universe
- Looking Back in Retrospective (in dire need of a title change and better outline)
- Untitled KaiJou fic taking place 5 years after the anime ends as Kaiba starts to build Duel Academy? (because I wanted something not angst-ridden!)
- More half-formed plot bunnies

For work, I have the pleasure of doing editorial reviews on two journal manuscripts and two proposals to the Army Research Institute within the next week. Kill me now...

Doooo it!

I love to use the Duel Academy as a background element -- I'm half-assed working on a one shot where Jounouchi supplements his income by giving the occasional lecture on Luck versus Preparedness, and Telling the Difference. It has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE STORY, but it was a change of career.

And I dunno, I kind of like the title Looking Back in Retrospective. It's quirky.

Work? Sounds not fun. =_=;

Haha, that sounds like a one-shot I want to read!

I generally think all my titles (chapter ones included) are terrible. It's why I usually tend to just stick to a specific structure/motif for a fic so I can angst about that less.

lol, it's actually about this whole Mai/Jou/Kaiba thing, where it's not so much a triangle as... a bunch of interconnected lines?

I'm with you about song titles; I've gotten to the point that I'm now pulling song lyrics for titles subconsciously. I spent 20 minutes the other day trying to figure out where I had picked up "They Dream in Color," because I knew it wasn't me. Turned out it was Pearl Jam.

and some how kaiba was able to get jou's sperm and with his technology turned them into eggs to make beautiful children called Fubuki and Asuka? ...:D

Yep, she's a college student in Doma. In the Joey continuity, she'd be working on her second PhD around Mokuba's time in college.

Lol, Fubuki and Asuka... I started watching GX after finally finding some viable subtitles. It's better than I expected. xD

What subs are you working on these days? If it's Black Butler, I can't say I have much interest in it.

Cool, Mike and I are still working out on where we're staying but it looks 95% we're going to the con.

Not hiding, I just don't use AIM or any instant messaging anymore. Email or LJ is the better way to get a hold of me nowadays. Is there something you want to talk to me about?

the only parts i watched in gx was when bmg, and when yugi/atemu came back. and i was meh for the rest. 5ds is the same. They're really stretching all these spin-offs too far.

Still need to get Kuro season 1 done, and not just that, the remaining ygo dm eps too. there is xxxholic ova for next spring and supernatural anime that i want to do as well.

mmk, you didn't tell your parents yet...? it's been 2yrs (?).

I don't want to stay with my parents during the Con anyway. They live all the way out in Bayside and it's not worth the travel time. Rather just pay for a room and make life easier (it's the closest thing I'll have to a vacation since I started working 2 years ago).

As for fansub stuff (I'm assuming it's the editing gig), Black Butler just doesn't interest me. You can probably snag me for the DM stuff since I'm all up in the fandom again. xxxHolic OAD might be interesting and I'd be watching it regardless. As for Supernatural, never saw the show and don't have much investment in the anime as a result. Sorry, I've gotten so picky about editing, but I do enough editing for papers I have no interest in at work.
