So... I've been "flashing" the last two days.  Actually, I spent the last two days working on web design stuff.  At a complete lack of any other hobby (and waiting for more SG1 episodes to download), I decided to try my hand at flash.

Behold my first attempt at a flash website!

It's a work in progress.

To me, it's a very curious (to use your word) and often frustrating mixture of video editing, animation, web design, and programming. It's the programming part that really kills for me. To make a website that can do lots of neat stuff, you need to be able to program in actionscript. It's sort of like Java (if only I remembered java). You can get ready-made actionscript online but it really helps to understand what the code is trying to do.

Yikes! O_O I think that's a morbid curiousity that's going to be set aside until later, lol.

I had a friend, oddly enough, who knew how to made sites in flash long before she knew how to handle simple HTML, and I don't. understand. how.

Well, it is very easy to make simple flash websites for static content since the program is visually based. Sort of like the old Microsoft Publishing or like laying things out in Photoshop. It's when you have dyamic multipage content that it gets tricky.
