Hmm... the homosexual tension... not really
I can only recall this phenomenon in Asian cinema. Whenever a girl protagonist cross-dresses as a boy, the boy protagonist falls in love/begins to develop feelings for the female protagonist even though he only knows her as a boy. This, of course, inevitably leads to the male protagonist questioning his sexuality. I don't think that ever really happens in Western, or at least American, stories like that. God forbid the gayness. Which makes this more ironic since Chinese people are supposed to be more intolerant of the gayness. I'm confused now...
And for one, the woman dressed up as a man looks like a man rather than a weird transvestite. Although, I think the actress is actually rather pretty (can't really remember because she has not once yet resumed her sex). The character of Xiang Xiang is so retarded sounding. I wonder if that's the character or the actress herself. Either way, her childish whining is getting on my freaking nerves.
Lol, they just talked about destiny (yan yuan) with the metaphor of magnetic meteorite rocks.
And I just broke my chopstick by biting it accidentally. >.>

... Should I be ashamed when I admit that the girl-dressed-up-as-boy is the central theme in at least two of my favorite manga? (HanaKimi and Ouran)
