*headdesk*

At least "freedom fries" wasn't such a mouthful.

So parts of the HP fandom are up in arms over this little article...from a college newspaper... Come on, I don't even read my own college's paper. How widely do you think shit like college papers get circulated? Please get over yourselves. There are many other things you can and probably should take offense to other than the "slander" against your precious JKR. If you hadn't posted a link, the whole of the internet would have overlooked it because it is just that insignificant.

JKR is nowhere near the religious icon that is the Prophet Muhammad. That being said, it just makes the load of you are a very very sorry bunch.

I'm pretty sure I watched Carlos Mencia say a lot more potentially offensive stuff on Comedy Central last night.

For the record, I myself found it somewhat amusing. Especially the Chinese bootlegger part. Because it's just sadly enough that true.

This is why everyone in high school should read Swift's A Modest Proposal. BTW, best satire ever.

Ugh.. I've read both college newspaper article and fandom reaction... >.> This is... ridiculous... like seriously o_O The article was rather amusing (I liked Chinese bootlegger part too XD), but nowhere THAT offensive, come on ^^ *rolls eyes*

The Chinese bootleggers actually *did* come out with an alternate book 5, when it was taking JKR forever to write. Except it wasn't exactly "bootlegged" -- her chinese publishing company was just like, "Eh, get someone else to write it!"
