ARGH!
So I think Evernote just pissed me off for the last time. The way that I write nowadays is very mobile-centered. At work, I often move between more than one computer in the lab. I also like to write while I ride the bus to and from work which I can do from their app on my iPod Touch. The thing I like about Evernote was that I could keep an up-to-date copy of my chapters without having to continually copy and paste between different programs or files.
UNTIL IT EATS HALF MY CHAPTER BECAUSE IT FAILED TO SYNC MY DATA PROPERLY! What the hell is cloud data good for if it can't even check the modified date properly and not overwrite my chapter with an old version from yesterday morning?
So yeah, half of chapter 13 is gone... Granted, I only had a total of about 1500 words so far, but that's 700 words gone. It's fucking discouraging if nothing else.
So I'm looking for a replacement app for Evernote and the will to write again...
ETA: I've SSH'ed into the ipod to see if the app kept the actual version I wanted somewhere in some stupidly obtuse folder. Nope. It overwrote the chapter completely. Fuck you, Evernote.
